Questions & answers
Frequently asked questions.
Will remapping affect my warranty?+
A remap is virtually untraceable, but if a manufacturer finds it, it may affect your warranty. Your original file is always retained so we can return the vehicle to standard whenever you need.
Is the work guaranteed?+
Yes — all work carried out by ourselves is guaranteed (please see our terms and conditions).
What if I'm not happy with the remap?+
We always keep your original file, so your vehicle can be returned to its standard settings at any time.
How much fuel could I save?+
Improvements in fuel consumption of up to 20% are possible, especially on turbo-diesel engines — because there's more torque low down, so you use less throttle for the same progress.
Is a remap better than a tuning box?+
Yes. Tuning boxes work by feeding the ECU false sensor readings, which can give poor or unpredictable performance. A remap reprograms the ECU directly for proper, controlled results.
How long does a remap take?+
Remapping takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the vehicle. We can come to you or you can visit the workshop near Keighley.
Is my vehicle covered?+
We cover the vast majority of cars, vans, trucks, tractors and plant. Use the vehicle search or send us your reg and we'll confirm exactly what's possible.
Could a remap cause fault codes?+
On a vehicle in good mechanical condition, no — we run a full diagnostic before and after every job. If something is already faulty we'll tell you before we tune.
Do you offer a mobile service?+
Yes — a fully mobile service is available throughout most of the UK, so we can come to your home or business.
Do you use generic files?+
Never. Every file is developed in-house and tailored to your exact vehicle — that's what protects your engine and delivers the gains safely.
